Senior Collection:

All For Freedom

The goal: Provide three deliveries for Fall 2012. Construct five of the 60 looks and present them at the annual fashion show. 

 

The process: identify target market and inspiration, research trends, present sketches for team review, receive and evaluate feedback, make apropriate changes, reevaluate sketches, make necessariy changes until team approved, continue collecting inspiration and trend research, finalize designs, begin pattern making, create muslin, fit models, make pattern and muslin changes until perfected, complete garments in fashion fabric with all embellishments, 

 

Target market: 35-55 year-old woman; career wear

 

Inspiration: When ashes are changed to beauty and captives are set free, there is no doubt that the heavens sing!

 

The results: 

You will see bold lines, captivating textures, and timeless beauty as you enjoy my Fall/Winter 2012/2013 collection. The collection was inspired by the beautiful story of slaves being rescued from captivity. With over 27 million slaves in the world today, I wanted to share this story of hope. "Little" Red Dress

The goal: Create a little red dress that exemplifies the Dallas Market Center brand.

 

The results: Second place at Dallas Career Day 2012, "Little Red Dress" competition. 

 

Dress & Cape [fall/winter 11/12]

​

The goal: A dress that reminds her that she's fabulous & a cape that doesn't let anyone else forget!

 

Target market: 25-55 year-old woman

 

Inspiration: 1960's + equine adventures. [Yesterday felt like home and today feels like eternity; spend forever in my arms reminding me that you love me.]
